Local Perspective
Mission Hills is one of the neighborhoods I think of when clients tell me they want architectural character, established streets, and a central San Diego location without giving up a residential atmosphere. Sitting above Old Town and close to Hillcrest, the neighborhood feels connected to the city while maintaining an identity of its own.
Neighborhood Character
Tree-lined streets, hillside settings, established landscaping, local restaurants, cafes, and neighborhood businesses all contribute to Mission Hills’ character. Many streets feel noticeably quieter than the major destinations only a few minutes away.
Homes & Architecture
Architecture is one of the biggest reasons buyers are drawn here. Mission Hills contains homes dating to the early 20th century alongside remodeled residences and newer custom construction. Craftsman, Spanish-influenced, traditional, and other historic architectural styles give the neighborhood more visual variety than many newer communities.
